Chapter one: time to go.

(Koheku’s P.O.V)
I awoke to the bright sun in my face. Turning over I caught a glance of the mirror reflecting the whole room. Staring back at me was the indigo eyes of the red and black echidna that was laying in his futon. Still looking in the mirror I sat up and watched the young male sit up as well. After a few minutes I stopped looking at the mirror and got up to get dressed. I opened my closet and pulled out one of my many uniforms. Today was my first mission to leave the country so I put on my best black and silver silk kimono tied off with my pure silver obi. Over top I wore my favorite black hakama. Finally I put on a pair of leather gloves which had two holes made especially for my knuckle spikes.

Now that I was dressed I opened the door and left my room only to find that some one had left a note on my door step. Now the note wasn’t a formal letter but it was put in to an envelope and sealed. Opening it with my spiked knuckle I found that the note only contained six words: ‘don’t forget to bring your swords’. Shaking my head and chuckling I reentered my room and tied on my sword belt. After that I picked up my short 18’* wakizashi and my full length 42’* katana from the stand in the corner of the room and attached them to my belt.

Now that I was fully dressed I slowly walked down the hall towards the stairs. Now standing at the head of the stair case I looked down at the great hall just below and saw that some one was up early. Slowly making my way down the stairs I noticed that the person was standing and was looking towards the south wall of the great hall which put me directly behind them. Drawing the shorter of my two swords I charged the man.

When I reached him he turned around and blocked my blade with one of his own. Our blades came apart when I leapt back and then charged again this time reversing my grip and horizontally slashing at his torso. This time however he dodged my attack and then struck out with a slash of his own. Blocking the strike I dived, rolling into a crouch I pushed up with my legs leaping into the air while performing an upwards vertical strike. The attack slashed his kimono in half but missed his skin by an inch.

“That’s enough” the man said “you have performed well boy, but I do say that you held back on that last attack.” He reached up and pulled off his mask to reveal my master, the lord of the Terrakata clan himself. I sheathed my sword and kneeled on lone knee. It was true I had held back because I didn’t want to harm my master.
“So today is the day you travel out and find my daughter.” He said more of a statement than a question. I answered with a ‘yes milord’ which brought a frown to his face.
“How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that when I don’t have company its embarrassing?” he asked in exasperation.
“Only when you stop calling me ‘boy’.” I stated good naturedly which caused him to chuckle. I was now standing with a slight smile on my face. when I was with alone my master I felt like I could drop my walls and allow my emotions to show.
“I’m going to miss you lad.” he said placing his hands on my shoulders.
“I’ll miss you to master. I swear I’ll return as soon as I can.” I said to my master.
“Now don’t rush your self take your time. This is a time to explore learn about other countries and maybe get to know some nice lady friends.” He said in his usual perverted tone which makes his wife mad.
“Master my first priority is to find your daughter. Why would I be looking for a female that is not part of my mission?” I said genuinely confused.
“Alright I know that you where basically hidden under a rock during training and was never taught anything about girls but are you not curious?”
“Curious about what Miroku?” said his very annoyed wife who was now standing on the balcony above us.
“Nothing dear.” He called up then continued in a different subject. “So are you packed and ready to go?” he asked.
“Yes milord.” I said with a smirk on my face.
Alright gather your things and get ready to leave… boy.” he said mimicking my smirk.

After heading back up to my room collecting my stuff I was now on the foot of the stairs. Looking around I muttered a short prayer of safety before leaving. I was now taking the first steps of my journey and I was determined that I would return victorious. Pulling out my atlas I turned to the road maps of this area and was able to navigate my way into the first town. For a few rings I spent the night at a small hotel.

The next day I searched the entire town for clues on the location of Amira but no such luck. Staying at the same hotel I couldn’t sleep so I just sat in the chair they provided in the room. After a few minutes I started to drift off to sleep when suddenly a knock came at my door. I nearly jumped out of my skin and drew my sword. But after a second I realized that there was a person at the door. Sheathing my sword I opened the door cautiously and found it was a boy holding a neatly folded paper carrying a sack filled with more papers. He asked if I wanted to by a news paper I gave him four rings and he handed me the paper and happily went to the next door.

Reading the headline I saw a picture of a blue hedgehog with his thumb up. Behind him was a group of other people but one in particular caught my eye. It was the pink hedgehog that looked a lot like the wife of my lord. The headline said that sonic and his friends saved station square once again. It then told me the names of the group of people behind the hedgehog. The pink one’s name was Amy Rose. I had now found where she was. Flipping open my map I saw that station square was another continent over. In the middle of my thoughts I glanced at the clock and realized it was already seven AM.

Leaving the hotel I figured that it would take a while to make it to the port to the other continent at my current pace. Checking my atlas once again I found the perfect route to the port then I sped off.  I used the technique Wind Walk to encircle my feet with the wind I was then moving at speeds rivaling that of a cheetah. But even in my in creased pace I would make it to port by sunset and all the boats would have left. I didn’t care though I knew where she was now and I would find her soon enough so why hurry.
this is the second post of my story i hope you like it... no characters belong to me except koheku.... if you are wondering yes i did use miroku form inuyasha.
